John Dunlop took this contest three years ago and he can land it again with Eglevski, Metaphoric and Zar Solitario could be the main rivals. Eglevski came to the racecourse with a decent reputation but it took him five runs before he got off the mark. He looked a bit of a baby during that campaign and should be open to plenty of improvement with another winter on his back. Zar Solitario landed an all-weather handicap in good style last time out and although punished by the assessor a big run can be expected. Metaphoric is the least exposed runner in the line-up having just had one winning run at Nottingham in October. He beat a 50/1 chance on that occasion, but there were some runners from top stables behind and the form may be better than it first looked. The pick of the others could be Sweeney, but we expect Eglevski to step up on last season's form and he gets our confident vote.
