      Verdict

      Official ratings suggest Southandwest holds strong claims in this conditions event, however we will take a chance with He's A Humbug, with Fool Me also expected to go close. We know that He's A Humbug goes well fresh as he was successful by three lengths on his Thirsk debut. He was highly tried in two subsequent races at York and Newmarket and will find this company a lot less taxing. Southandwest managed two victories in his first campaign and was only beaten two and half lengths in a valuable sales race at the Curragh. The fast ground will suit and a big run is expected. Fool Me hasn't raced since August when he chased home the top class Big Timer. If fit for his return he should play a part in the finish. Northern Fling is from a yard going well and is another to consider for the places, but our idea of the winner is He's A Humbug.
