Dubai Surprise is selected to make a belated winning return over Quickfire, Donyana and Little Miss Gracie. Godolphin sent out Mansfield Park to land this event 12 months ago, and although without a run this term, recent reports from the gallops indicate that Dubai Surprise is as ready as she can be for an autumn campaign. Successful in the Group 3 Prestige Stakes at Goodwood last August for David Loder, the daughter of King's Best subsequently disappointed in the Fillies' Mile at Ascot before bouncing back with a cracking effort in the Group 1 Criterium International at Saint-Cloud, chasing home Helios Quercus, with Walk In The Park and Cupid's Glory behind. The going was very soft then and she will appreciate the faster conditions here on her first outing for the boys in blue who have adopted a patient policy with her. Musidora runner-up Quickfire seems temperamental, and had to be fitted with earplugs in a Listed race at Newmarket last time. She ran with credit though, despite not getting any luck in running and should be in the shake-up along with Little Miss Gracie, although she will be susceptible to those coming from behind and has most weight to carry as well. Donyana made all when scoring at Salisbury last term but she has it to do on what she has achieved so far, and if fit enough, Dubai Surprise should take all the beating.
