JORDAURA gets the vote in this tight handicap with Toto Skyllachy and Lochan Mor likely to make life difficult for our pick. Jerry O'Dwyer's mount won a decent contest at the back end of last season and looks a seven furlong specialist. In winning that day the horse confirmed a liking for these conditions and a 5lb rise shouldn't prevent another big run providing he's fit and ready to do himself justice. The colt has won fresh so we're prepared to give him the vote with plenty in his favour. Kieren Fallon again rides Toto Skyllachy and this horse looks well treated on the pick of his efforts, most notably a win off 82 at Ripon last summer. The second placed horse from that contest actually came out and won at Redcar yesterday so the form looks solid and Toto Skyllachy looked back to something approaching his best when taking fourth last week, so off a mark of 77 can go close. Another son of Kyllachy, Lochan Mor has to enter calculations for Michael Bell. The four-year-old had a successful first season in never finishing worse than fourth and he can continue that run by going close here. He should be capable of progressing further and shapes as though seven furlongs will suit him down to the ground, whilst the fact he finished second on debut last season suggests fitness won't be an issue. The Kyllachy Kid has work to do with our selection but arrives here in good form having taken second last time. He is another who acts with cut and the yard aren't going too badly so a big run is entirely possible and the price should generous. Monsieur Fillioux is interesting but he's got to prove he can reproduce all-weather form on the turf, so of more interest is Emeebee with the yard having had a winner yesterday. Definightly remains capable of better and acts on the ground but he's got more weight than he perhaps deserves, so we'll return to Jordaura in a competitive race.
