William Buick has chosen the once-raced Semblance ahead of Newcastle runner-up Gharaaneej, even though the former was beaten in a three-runner race on debut. Persian Bolt has had plenty of chances and was also due to run at Windsor yesterday while Nathr doesn't appear to be improving. New Identity has been a hot favourite for his last two starts but never looked like winning either and is running out of excuses. Wu Zetian was only beaten half-a-length when second at Chepstow, however, and looks a danger to FOXCOVER. Richard Fahey's gelding didn't seem to enjoy the tight track at Catterick last time and better is expected here.
