      Verdict

      LUCIA JOY has won when tried in headgear in the past and though supporters need to exercise a leap of faith, this drop in class could well turn out to be perfect tonic for George Boughey’s filly. The owners make life tougher for punters by including Nurseclaire. A winner on debut for Richard Fahey, she is yet to repeat the dose since joining Alice Haynes. Maffeo Barberini was bought unraced out of the Coolmore operation and hasn’t given the former connections too many sleepless nights while Days Like This obliged at Chepstow this year when a similarly small field obtained.
