        Verdict

        Some interesting newcomers turn up from top yards and the best advice is to follow the market and watch the race a few times over for future clues. However, a couple set a decent form standard with the progressive PERFECT DELIGHT taken to maintain her improvement after a pleasing third in a Goodwood maiden and a promising second to Rhythmic over this trip at Doncaster last time. John Fahy takes off a useful 3lb and she's just preferred to Esentepe. The Hannon filly, fourth in the Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot, has shown up well on all starts and keeps going close but she has had seven runs now and is obviously proving rather frustrating. Expect another prominent showing however.
