Verdict
Top yards lock horns in a fascinating maiden. Ziryab progressed from his first start yet was still beaten five lengths at York, but Ryan Moore is booked and the Gosden yard will be keen to get a win out of the beautifully-bred colt. To Catch A Thief was backed into favouritism on debut but the Cracksman colt didn't really get into the race. He's been given a break and it will be intriguing to see how he fares in the market. Dubai Dreamer is an interesting newcomer for the Varian yard and Fleet Admiral is a likely improver, but THEATRE HONOURS is taken to build on a pleasing Newmarket debut last month and is a surefire improver. However, it should be noted that the Charlie Appleby yard has only been operating at a ten per cent strike rate in the last fortnight, significantly below their usual level.
