Lunar Jet will have needed the run at Chester last month. Sky Defender and Pied Piper struggle to get their heads in front while Liberation Point didn’t pick up tried over this trip at Pontefract. Kolisi was beaten in a three-runner race at Ayr but is receiving weight all round and will handle conditions. Arqoob won over a mile here in August but is still unproven over this trip. Irish Legend and Mashhoor have claims but WESTERN ALLIANCE stepped up markedly on a win at Nottingham in the spring when runner-up to Poet Of Life at Newbury and still has plenty of scope.
