In depth

Verdict

It looks worth sticking with the unbeaten THEMAXWECAN. He made a winning start at Bath in October and defied a penalty on his reappearance when scoring over 1m2f at Chelmsford. There should be more to come over this longer trip and he’s preferred to the returning Landa Beach, who won over a mile at Newbury on last year’s introduction and is also penalised. Fox Fearless went close on a couple of occasions last term and has been gelded subsequently while Nottingham third Technician is also worth noting on his return given he’s entered in both the Dante and Derby. Future Investment is a brother to the decent stayer and Listed winner Mountain Bell and makes most appeal of the newcomers.
