        Verdict

        Upcountry was readily brushed aside by Semmsu when odds-on over this trip at Folkestone three weeks ago. If anything, this maiden is even less competitive but Charles Hills' gelding clearly has questions to answer at present and may be worth taking on here with newcomer HAAMAAT. A half-sister to 7f winner One Cool Kitty, Willie Haggas' Shamardal filly cost 110,000gns is a yearling and connections will be keen to enhance her paddock value with a victory. State Senator has hinted at ability and may be the pick of the remainder, though Najraan is probably open to more improvement than most.
