    Verdict

    Only four runners in this handicap but any of the quartet could land the spoils. Armoise probably has to improve a little on his Yarmouth win three weeks ago but that is a distinct possibility, while Quiz Mistress deserves a change of luck having found only one too good at Kempton and Newmarket last month. Franciscan won at Yarmouth and Haydock in the summer and was only beaten a neck over this trip at Goodwood last month. But we'll stick with HOT SPICE, who already has a C&D win to his name and probably has a bit more scope over this distance.
