Christian von der Ecke¿s Avanche is making his debut and is best watched in the market. Tony McCoy, as is often the case with von der Ecke is booked to take the ride. Shady Grey, fifth in a novice hurdle last time at Uttoxeter behind Castanet, is taking a drop in grade and must be respected, while Kings Rock belied his starting price when finishing fourth in a conditional jockeys¿ handicap hurdle at Wetherby, although he was beaten a long way. Devito, beaten only a length and a half in a similar contest at Chepstow is one to consider but the selection is Think Quick. He ran in a selling hurdle at Chepstow last time and was staying on in eye-catching style at the finish and went down by only a short head to Margaret¿s Wish. That was only his second outing and he looks to be progressive. He can take this.
