Lucky Spin can prove to be the best of Richard Hannon's pair, with Coy and Nephetriti Way expected to provide the main danger. The Hannon stable won this 12 months ago with Zither, and Lucky Spin is sure to be well tuned up to follow suit. The daughter of Pivotal showed a sparkling turn of foot when opening her account on only her second career outing at Lingfield recently. That was on rain-softened ground and she promises to be just as effective on this faster going today. In addition, she had still not come in her coat at the Surrey track, and her trainer believes that she will be very useful when she does. She comes up against a potentially useful rival in the shape of Coy, a maiden winner at Newcastle last October. Sir Michael Stoute's filly looked far from the finished article when down the field at Newmarket on her return, but the slight drop back in trip should help. She may be one to follow when put into decent handicaps in time, but can improve enough here at least to bustle up the selection. Nephetriti Way ran better than her finishing position suggests on her return against Listed company at Ascot, and this filly, a useful juvenile last term, will appreciate the ground. She should run a big race, but Lucky Spin is the one to be on.
