Patrick Mullins rode the winner last year and though Strait Of Zanzibar has been very disappointing it's just possible this unique surface could bring out the best in him. Saratoga Baby appears best over slightly further but is reasonably treated and it will be a surprise if she's not involved though ALMADAA looks the one to be on under Robbie McNamara. He won a Cork handicap last month and was narrowly beaten in a strong handicap over 6f at Dundalk later where he was staying on at the finish. Phils Wish is still a maiden after a dozen starts but has gone very close at Wolverhampton on a couple of occasions.
