In depth

Verdict

After four runs in bumpers and one over hurdles, dual point-to-point winner Noosa makes her debut over larger obstacles under Rules. She should win races and is one for the short-list here while Mayo Mystique, Table Forty Six and Quiet Thought have all won over timber, though the latter has been well below her best so far this summer. The vote, however, goes VICTRIX GALE who has her first start for Tony Martin having won a Folkestone novice hurdle for Nicky Henderson in March. She's a half-sister to smart chaser Takagi so anything she achieved over the smaller obstacles was a bonus and, lightly-raced, she could be the type to run up a sequence over fences.
