Mortal won this a year ago but has been in poor form subsequently and is 12lb lower. ABBEY MAGIC (NAP) gained the fifth victory of her career over fences with a battling performance at Galway where she probably found the 2m2f too short. Mike O'Connor's claim more than makes up for the 6lb rise and she can go in again. The West's Awake didn't have much chance in the Plate but an earlier victory over Visionman at Kilbeggan puts him in the frame while Batcio got no sort of run here last time after an easy victory at Wexford.
