Verdict

SONIC BEAT hasn't had much experience over timber but showed just how well he is progressing when less than a length behind Didn't He Do Well at Wexford. He's always appeared likely to be suited by this longer trip and can gain his first success. Winners Toast has yet to strike over timber but was close behind On The Button over this trip at Roscommon and probably has more scope than the winner. The Armed Man, runner-up to Slieveardagh at Clonmel last November, hasn't made the same progress and probably needs testing conditions.
