Verdict

LEARN hasn't progressed as expected this campaign but there's still time and he should take this. Not beaten far behind Camelot in the Racing Post Trophy in October, he was beaten less than 2l in the San Siro Gran Criterium on his final juvenile start and though twice behind Sharestan in Listed contests this season he takes a drop in grade here. He'll need to be at his best as there are several threats not least from fellow three-year-old Regulation, who was very impressive in beating Lady Jock at the Curragh and is improving fast. The older brigade are led by Elusive Ridge, who wasn't at his best behind today's rival Goldplated at Sligo where the 1m2f trip didn't suit. The winner is definitely better over further and may struggle for pace here while Croi An Or was behind the selection at the Curragh last time.
