In depth

Verdict

Acqua Di Gioia stepped up markedly from her debut to finish a close fourth at Limerick and won't need much more to get into the frame. However, KIRKLAND LADY, who finished just behind on her debut, got no sort of run and can reverse the form and take this. Rosscarbery, who finished in front of the pair of them, was having her fifth start and lacks the scope of her rivals. Citronnade was disqualified from first at the Curragh after causing interference and connections will be looking for compensation while Karatayka was staying on over 1m2f at Roscommon. The Ballydoyle newcomer Drummer Girl, who cost 2.1m guineas, makes a long awaited debut. She's by Galileo out of a Group 2 winner and a sister to the useful Lancaster House.
