In depth

Verdict

SPECKLED WOOD looks the one to be on as she is progressing nicely and followed her double at Thurles and Clonmel with an even better run behind Upsie at the Punchestown Festival where she would have finished even closer but for being impeded at a crucial stage. Curvacious finished behind and looks held but Supreme Carolina has to be a threat despite a poor run at Wexford where the heavy ground and longer trip took its toll. Her earlier form puts her right in the picture while Kates Benefit landed a Navan maiden by no less than 15 lengths last month so also enters the equation. Benefit Of Porter likes fast ground so may find this going too sticky on her return from a long break.
