A real poser for punters with a field of virtually unknowns. Noel Browne showed signs of ability when third behind Hidden Cyclone at Gowran and Luddsdenene has run quite well in both starts on testing ground at Naas and Thurles. Noel Meade is always to be feared in these events so his newcomer Willie John, who is out of a mare who won several times on the flat, is one to note in the betting. ROHANS BAY showed nothing in two starts a year ago but it was a different matter when sent to Punchestown last month where he ran very well to finish fifth behind Bishopsfurze in a much better race than this. Another to keep an eye on is Charlie Swan's newcomer Mediolanum, an expensive purchase who is a half-brother to two winning bumpers.
