Long Strand let supporters down when sent to Ffos Las for a novices' event in February but ran quite well on the flat at Tipperary last month. TAKING STOCK, a bumper winner at Punchestown, has been a little unfortunate not to lose his maiden tag over hurdles having slipped up at Gowran when challenging and running well in huge fields at Naas and Fairyhouse. Theatre Festival has some decent form over timber and in bumpers to his credit though a long absence won't be a help in a competitive maiden in which the promising bumper Gormanstown Cuckoo is expected to run well on his debut over timber and Celtic Wish won't have much more improvement to find after a fine hurdling debut behind Leggy Lad at Naas.
