DESERTMORE HOUSE didn't show much in bumpers but it's a different story over timber having made an impressive start at Downpatrick then beating a much stronger field there a couple of weeks ago. Magheralin Mick was four lengths behind in the latter event but will be 5lb better off so should get closer. Champella won a Down Royal bumper in June and made a successful hurdling debut over 2m4f on that track though this looks tougher. Run For Pat showed his liking for a stamina test when scoring over three miles at Listowel while Toss Again won over this trip at Ballinrobe. Tramore maiden winner Alvaro has been running well in handicaps and isn't out of this.

Champella (IRE) 10-3 (11-0) Tracked leaders and 5th halfway, improved into closer 3rd 3 out, ridden and switched to inner from next, left 2nd after last and soon led, kept on well close home, won at Down Royal 2m 4f mdn gd in Aug beating Evenwood Sonofagun (10-13) by 2 1/4l, 15 ran.
