It's astonishing to see a Hardwicke Stakes winner on show here but that's the case with former Ballydoyle inmate, Macarthur, who took the prestigious Royal Ascot contest in 2008. On the downgrade since, he's shown little in two hurdling efforts but can surely get involved in such a modest race on this better ground. However GALZIG, a King's Theatre mare, showed some ability in a Punchestown bumper and has been brought along very steadily by Jessica Harrington - she's a speculative choice. Dr Anubis would just about win this if reproducing a much-improved effort at Clonmel last time despite not looking the most straightforward but bumper winner Bombalong has yet to deliver a similar level of form over timber.
