Verdict
ROYAL WEDDING would be a very appropriate winner of this opener and is sure to attract plenty of public support. Nick Gifford's nine-year-old is only 2lb higher than when scoring over C&D in February and can get the better of penalised Stratford scorer High Jack and the consistent Psi, who finished one place and a nose ahead of Take A Mile over a slightly shorter trip here three weeks ago. Victory Surge proved no match for Sonny Mullen at Towcester last time but the winner trotted up in a stronger race at Haydock subsequently and Jonjo O'Neill's charge can't be ignored here.
