In depth

Verdict

Captain Courageous was in the front rank for a long way over 2m5f at Tramore and looks the type to be suited by this trip. Coeur Aimant showed his liking for a stamina test when a close fourth over 3m at Sligo and today's softer conditions will be in his favour. Crobally Boy, who finished just in front, should also do better on this sort of ground while Rian Thomas was having his first start for Ted Walsh when runner-up over 2m4f on the latter track earlier this month and looks certain to make the necessary progress to get into contention. From a yard in form, Shannon Fields has run quite well in handicaps the last twice but FLEMINGS DREAM looked a likely future winner when runner-up at Roscommon and Rachael Blackmore takes the ride again. The latter gets the nod as though Little Lady Lu came close to losing her maiden tag over 2m4f here three weeks ago she is beginning to look exposed.
