SLANE HILL beat a big field of maiden hurdlers at Naas in December and is an interesting chasing debutant as is Sphagnum, twice a winner over timber last summer. Clondaw Hollow, a winner between the flags and twice successful over hurdles, had little chance in a three-runner race on his chasing bow at Fairyhouse but sails in calmer waters here. Magheralin Mick, a reasonably consistent hurdler, jumped well enough on his chasing debut at Clonmel and should have come on for the experience.
