Spider Bob scored on fast ground at Downpatrick before a good run on similar going at Cork. He failed to fire at Clonmel last time but with Gordon Elliott currently on a high he is definitely one to watch. Cnoc Rua was having his 14th start over timber when finally losing his maiden tag at Cork but had looked progressive in earlier races and is fairly treated. Mayday Frontier is in good heart but continues to shoot up the weights without winning and is 10lbs higher than when last successful. Evolution is on the upgrade and can go well while Preswell Lad showed up nicely on his latest start at Ballinrobe in May, his first run for almost a year. BOYNEY BOY has been unfortunate not to win a race and this could be his day. A last-flight faller when in with every chance at Sligo in May, he's been given time to recover and his earlier form in maidens suggests he is by no means harshly treated.
