Carriganog won the beginners' race on the card a year ago and though that's his only victory over fences he ran a fine race when just failing to concede his stable companion King Leon 9lb at Ballinrobe in May. DOWN UNDER is a real standing dish around here and though raised 8lb for his latest victory on the track the assessor could have given him more as he was very impressive. He'll be difficult to beat and gets the vote though Duckweed is a very smart novice who makes her handicap debut on what may prove to be a lenient mark. Unic De Bersy got his jumping act together at Tramore and that should have given him confidence while Bryan Cooper has chosen last year's winner Ravished of the four Gigginstown entries despite a long absence and his choice has to be respected.
