In depth

Verdict

THE FRIDAY MAN, a winning bumper and four times successful over hurdles, has been slightly disappointing in his two runs over fences though should put that experience to good use here. His stablemate Au Fleuron, a winning bumper and hurdler, was well beaten on his only start over fences in October. Desertmore House, a winner between the flags, has also scored over hurdles and it will be a surprise if his astute handler doesn't get further improvement out of him over the bigger obstacles. The lightly-raced Sky Sprinter showed only moderate form in bumpers and over hurdles but was only biding his time until tackling fences.
