Once again, Canny Tom enters the fray seemingly with an outstanding chance of losing his maiden tag. His run behind Monarch here last month, with Sea Captain well beaten, is comfortably the best form on offer and he was taking on too much in a Galway handicap last week. But his will be his 25th start and patience has worn out so SHINGHARI gets the nod. Denis Hogan's charge, a winner on the Flat at Killarney in May, made a fair start in a strong maiden won by Aydoun at Galway a week ago and he's certain to have come on for the experience. Ancient Empire has shown nothing so far, though looks the type to do better, but Seskin Flyer, who has been running quite well between the flags, is likely to need much further.
