In depth

Verdict

HIGHLAND AVENUE will likely prove a warm order for this having missed out by only a neck over 7f here on last month’s debut. Charlie Appleby’s grey finished clear of a subsequent winner and is preferred to stablemate and newcomer Silent Film. The latter is the first foal of a Group 3 winner while The Guvnor is a half-brother to winners. Mercurius Power struggled last time and a tongue-tie is applied while the four-year-old Montaqem drops down from 1m4f.
