An open affair to start proceedings with AMTIYAZ just preferred. The latter was beaten less than a length in a tougher contest over track and trip last time and another bold bid is expected from John Gosden’s colt. Both Dal Horrisgle and Hasanabad return to the Flat with a chance. The latter ran well at Chelmsford earlier while the former was third behind Rochester House at Ascot in October and Mark Johnston's charge is closely matched with Chipiron and Charlie D on latest running at Wolverhampton. Cosmelli had little chance in a conditions race last time but is not out of this back in a handicap.
