In depth

Verdict

The £140,000 Godolphin-owned CHIPPENHAM doesn't look a stable star but won't need to be here and need only make normal progress on his latest start at Wolverhampton to take this. Temir Kazyk lost a shoe when only third of four at Lingfield and may be capable of better while Hawkerland, whose only run was at Goodwood as a two-year-old, wouldn't have been kept in training unless thought capable of paying his way. Eskendash has finished runner-up in four bumpers, on each occasion looking like a winner at around this trip, so he could provide the main threat. Reel Leisure ran poorly in a Fontwell bumper last time but had shown promise earlier.
