        Verdict

        This maiden looks a two horse race and with proven form on the surface SINFONICO just gets the call over Groomed. There isn't much to choose between the pair on their two runs so far but the selection looked much improved when just held at this track last time and only slightly more will be needed. Groomed so far has only been run in testing conditions and might be suited better by Southwell in this sphere but he has progressed well in two runs so is a leading player. Abysse is an interesting newcomer with a taking pedigree but might be better with a greater stamina test.
