In depth

Verdict

We finish off with a more mundane affair but it's no less competitive and there are a good number of alternatives to our selection, BACK IN THE RED, which include Blue Charm and Polish World. The selection carries a penalty having beaten River Kirov last time and that victory advertises his claims as the runner-up has won races either side of that defeat and appears to be well ahead of the game. River Kirov only had half a length to spare from Blue Charm last time but was value for more than the winning margin and the Kirk runner is poorly drawn here. Polish World failed to settle and consequently didn't get home over seven furlongs last time but could go well here if able to dominate and bowl along in front from his high draw. We'd be wary of Mistress Cooper who is handicapped to win again but she has a good deal to prove at present and it's not difficult to overlook her in favour of Back In The Red.
