Zaffamore has shown improved form in his last couple of outings and has to be respected but may be a shade high in the weights now and preference is for Avalanche who gets the verdict over Cool Monty. The last mentioned comes here on the back of an authoritative success at Market Rasen earlier in the month but an 11lb rise leaves Andrew Balding's gelding with more to do in a better race today. Venetia Williams has here string in good form at present so top weight Hescondido and the reappearing King On The Run are others to consider, along with Robert Alner's Peccadillo and the frustrating Reiziger. However, Avalanche, who is closely weighted with Zaffamore on running here on his last two starts is given the vote with Tony McCoy taking over in the saddle.
