In depth

Verdict

EXTRA MAG (NAP) still has jumping issues but had few problems landing the odds at Exeter after falling when going clear at Wetherby. He should up to defying a penalty if the obstacles don’t get in the way. Not So Sleepy was runner-up in the November Handicap last year and has won three times on the Flat. He’s jumping hurdles late in life but has to be respected. Sotomayor won on Polytrack for Richard Hannon but Precious Cargo is more interesting having switched to Nicky Henderson since winning a bumper for Lucinda Russell.
