This is desperate. And only a tentative vote of confidence is given to Height Of Spirits, while Expected Bonus, Franks Quest and Villa Bianca's are others to consider if they attract the interest of the betting public. Villa Bianca's is open to improvement at this distance and is one to monitor closely. She made little impact over seven furlongs here last week and needs to get her act together quickly or she will continue to ply her trade at the lowest level possible. The fitting of a visor for the first time may be of assistance. Franks Quest goes well here and looks an each-way steal on the pick of his efforts. However, winning is not a natural process for him and he would never be one to rely upon in a finish. Neither would Expected Bonus, whose record of a solitary win from 34 previous starts tells its own story. Still, he also acts well at Kempton and will be a threat if the drop in trip doesn't prove too sharp for him. Even so, Height Of Spirit has a stronger profile over a mile and, as he likes to weave his way through for a late challenge, we fancy the lack of strength-in-depth amongst the rest makes his case a strong one to resist today.
