Verdict

Swaffham Bulbeck is slowly coming down the weights but was only second here last time off today’s mark. FAIVOIR has to concede weight all round but Fergus Gillard’s claim is a plus and Dan Skelton’s seven-year-old, who is eased in grade, goes well fresh so may offer more in the way of value than stable companion L'Eau Du Sud. No Ordinary Joe also has a touch of class while Lively Citizen would have a chance on the pick of last season’s form but he’s not fired in two runs this term. Big Boy Bobby got off the mark at Huntingdon at the start of the month and Master Dancer was third at Cheltenham on his handicap debut. Kandoo Kid is another with plenty of scope but the handicapper has taken no chances with Alien Storm.
