An intriguing contest here where we can probably only confidently rule out two of them, and we will take a chance on Town Crier to upset one or two of the southern stables and score for Sue Smith. The selection was travelling like the winner when tipping up at Haydock last time and looks a useful recruit. The yard continue in fine form, and the gelding has plenty of scope for improvement. He will handle the ground and that could be the key to success here. Locksmith looks like a real gutsy sort, who has class in equal measure, and he jumped well when winning at Plumpton. In receipt of 6lb from the selection he will surely be involved. Triumph Hurdle winner Made In Japan will be a warm order, but he was well beaten last time at Sandown and has a bit to prove now in this grade. Colliers Court is full of confidence and handles the ground, and there is no reason to suggest he won't go well again, though winning under this weight in this company will be a fair bit more difficult, while Indien Royal will be better for the drop back in trip, but needs to improve. On balance then, we take Town Crier to stand up and win.
