      Verdict

      AUTUMN WAR is on the upgrade and defied a penalty to win with plenty in hand at Goodwood last time. This extra furlong should suit and the hat-trick beckons now handicapping for the first time. Spanish Archer also went close carrying a penalty at Newcastle having won at Nottingham before that while this looks easier than Elector’s recent task at York. Breath Caught has been thereabouts since winning over a mile at Newmarket on his reappearance but Al Kherb folded tamely at Chepstow on his handicap bow.
