    Verdict

There'll be stronger maidens run at the track this season and Itsawindup is taken to build on the promise of his run at the weekend. That third placed finish was his first run for his current yard and represented a career best performance. He was just run out of things close home over that ten furlong trip but should be able to last home over the extra furlong and take the honours. The selection's closely matched with Ponte Vecchio on official ratings but a variety of headgear has failed to persuade him to put his head in front where it matters and the percentage call is to oppose him once again. None of the remainder jump off the page, although support for Karl Burke's Supreme Leader gelding on his Flat bow would be of interest, and we'll pin our colours to the mast of Itsawindup.
