Named after his father perhaps, PLENTY O'TOOLE sets the standard and gets the vote in the second division of this maiden, while Compton Park should be capable of a good debut effort. The latter represents William Knight, who is sparing with his runners in the winter. The Compton Place colt is related to plenty of juvenile scorers from 6f up to 1m, and with the stable going well with their few recent runners he might just run a big debut. Even so, Plenty O'Toole has the pedigree to go well over this trip, as he showed here last time. He acts on the surface and has an improving profile, while his public experience can prove invaluable, and we will take him to score. Too Putra is another interesting debutant and was a 100,000 guineas purchase, although pedigree suggests that he will be better when stepped up in trip. Rich Boy is tried over this far for the first time and the extra furlong may well enable him to get more competitive than at Lingfield last time out. Qaraqum and Bella Charlie will probably both need significant improvement to score tonight, while Welsh Artist is going the right way, though may be seen to better effect when handicapping. Like the diamonds in the film from which his name comes, Plenty O'Toole can sparkle today.
