It would be harsh to judge Cape Greko on his registered finishing positions, as they have come in much stiffer handicaps than this and he gets the nomination over Neardown Beauty and Orchard Supreme. Cape Of Luck and Freeloader are others that hold each-way claims and are worth considering to small stakes if they are backed before the off. The latter returns to the Flat after modest success over hurdles and, as Richard Fahey's solitary runner at Kempton; he has to be respected. Cape Of Luck beat a decent field at Newmarket when he was last seen out, but may just need this after 154 days on the sidelines. Orchard Supreme looks capable of paying her way during an All Weather campaign and support for her is not without foundation. Even so, she doesn't strike as being particularly well handicapped and may be vulnerable in a finish. Which swings us back to Cape Grecko, who is 17lb lower in the rating than he was last summer. The ease in the level of competition will be to his liking today and, having proved he acts on the surface with a sterling effort last time out; this could be the time to catch up with Cape Grecko before the handicapper takes a dim view of his leniency.
