A very tricky contest can go to Wassfa, who edges preference over Esthlos and Simpsons Ross. The last named holds Khyberie from their encounter at Lingfield in October and comes here with a live chance on that form. A strong pace seems to him well and a bold bid is expected. Esthlos has been knocking on the door at this level and deserves a change of fortune. He would be giving weight away all round were this a handicap; so the son of Limnos has to be respected. However, Wassfa looks very well treated at present and it may be significant that Clive Brittain has opted to keep her at this level. Typically, Brittain pitched the Mark Of Esteem filly at the deep end last season and she struggled when upped into Listed company. This is obviously more her grade and she make the most appeal from a betting angle in a tough one to call.
