DRUM MAJOR has come down a long way in the weights and is the tentative selection in an open race. Drizzi, New World Order and Largem are amongst the viable alternatives. The selection hasn't always looked to be the easiest of rides and this yard has only managed to get one win out of him since he joined them from Sir Michael Stoute but there are one or two positives to take from his latest performance. Drum Major has been dropped to a career low mark following his latest run where he stayed on quite promisingly under an apprentice who is replaced by George Baker who has been on board for some of the gelding's best performances. The booking of Richard Hughes for Largem takes the eye and it will be interesting to see if there's any support for the lightly raced gelding who made a winning debut in handicap company last season and has been seen just once since. Drizzi, New World Order, Naheel and On Terms all clashed last time and it's difficult to be confident that the form will be confirmed and we're going to take a chance with Drum Major.
