In depth

Verdict

Alessandria is a well-bred filly that has a bright future and is expected to be too classy for her stablemate Off Message and Park Esteem, who spearhead the challenge from the rest. Park Esteem ran a very encouraging race on her debut and should be capable of paying her way before too long. A mile and a half should be no problem for her and Jeremy Noseda's charge is definitely one for future reference. As is Off Message, who overcame her inexperience to win on the All Weather when she was introduced in February. She was subsequently found out in Listed company at Chester but may be seen to better effect on this slightly more conventional track. However, preference has to go the Ed Dunlop's other contender, Alessandria, who is a half-sister to several winners over a variety of trips. Frankie Dettori has a fine record when riding for the yard and for these particular connections, and the former champion jockey looks set to partner yet another leading contender in the shape of Alessandria, who is fancied to make this a test too far for the rest.
