In depth

Verdict

Nortonthorpe Boy landed a treble with last week’s victory at Lingfield and had earlier beaten Obtuse. But he carries 12lb extra and drops down in trip for this while Elusive Treat found one too good off today’s mark at Southwell last time having earlier landed a double. Desert Boots won a lower grade sprint at Southwell earlier in the month and debuts for new connections while NIGHT NARCISSUS opened her account in novice company at Wolverhampton. But the latter is partnered by a 7lb claimer back in a handicap today and Clive Cox’ filly should make another bold bid judged on previous placed efforts.
